if it is due to menopause I don't think it really slacks up without some sort of natural or pharmacuetical hormone replacement.

Sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but you sort of answered mine before I posted it so I thought maybe you could answer my other questions.

I am very sorry to hear what you are experiencing since I just began the same thing a few weeks ago. One of my first questions was  "how long will these last" and now I know 10 years is unfortunately realistic.

How often do you have the night sweats? I am barely sleeping between kicking off the covers, pulling them back up, drying off and hanging out the window. I have been having hot flashes approx. 6 times a day and night sweats about the same. The only thing I have heard and read about to combat the hot flashes is hormone replacement. Unfortunately, the side effects like racing heart, panic attacks, etc. sound worse than the flashes and don't always work to eliminate them.

Well I certainly hope your nearing the end of this. Thought getting rid of my periods would be a good day until this started happening. Us women sure do pay a price to keep the human race going don't we?!

Have a good weekend.
