Can you have an enlarged prostate under 40?

For about 2 years now have had various symptoms which I found could be related to BPH.

When I urinate I have a feeling as though I didn't quite finish. Occasionally I will have a weak stream whee I really have to push to get it to come out despite feeling the need to urinate.

I do urinate frequently however I attribute that to the amount of liquid I consume. Occasionally midstream I will stop urinating I have to give a good push to get everything flowing again. During the night however I only get up about once to go pee.

It was about the same time that I started experiencing a drop in my erection quality. I just attributed this to getting a bit older. This year however I finally addressed my Ed issues. It wasn't until then when I was researching Cialis because that's what they were going to put me on that I learned about BPH.

All the symptoms seem to fit everything I've been experiencing however I'm only 37 years old. After all the research I've done online I made a doctor's appointment.

From what I can tell BPH under 40 is not common at only 8% to 10%. The doctor however seemed to think it was nearly impossible and even said that it would be a case reportable situation. This seemed to kind of fly in the face of all the facts I found.

So with all that being said my two questions are is it possible for me to have BPH? And is the doctor right or should I be looking for someone different since his comment kind of caused me to lose a little bit of confidence in him.

Thanks in advance and sorry if I didn't catch any typos!

BHP is unusual in men under 40. Cancer of the prostate in those under 40 is very unusual also. Other problems such as a urethral stricture could be the cause of your trouble. You certainly should see a good urologist.
