I'm writing about my fiance. He had an inguinal hernia surgery (open), back in February. Here we are, 7 months later, and he's still in debilitating pain. He has a triangle of pain on the side he was operated on. It goes from his belly button to his left testicle, to his left hip. He normally was a truck driver, and did auto body work in his free time. He has literally been on the couch or in bed for 7 months. Sometimes he's able to walk around, but as soon as he tries to do any work, he's in pain for days. We can't even have sex, it's too painful. He's been to the ER 3 times. He's always either constipated or having terrible diarrhea. We have tried everything to get him better. He even quit smoking hoping it would help. He had a colonoscopy 5 days ago, which was normal. They referred him to a CT scan the following day. Today we got a call that the CT scan was normal, and they have no clue why he's in pain.
What's going on with him?? It's almost noon on a Monday, and he's sleeping because it's the only time he's not in pain. I'm out of remedies, options, and patience. I don't know where to go from here or what else it could be. Any possible suggestions or avenues of treatment would be greatly appreciated!!
