You're welcome. A quick urine test well tell your Doctor if you might have an infection.  In the meantime don't force your urine out, relax and take your time.  There may be some inflammation or bladder spasms that give you that gotta go feeling.  Just describe your symptoms as best you can and your Doctor will do the rest.

Thanks,
its weird as i wouldn't really call it a pain, i mean, i barely notice it when i'm on the move. the only way i can describe it is a throbbing ache. the urination is a seperate issue, i just weren't sure if they could be connected. but you say about them being referred pains so sounds like they're seperate.
The urinating thing was that when i've finished, i still feel like i need to pee. maybe that could be a URI?
i've never had any catheters or anything like that. could heavy sport make a difference? and maybe a sex thing, thinking i'll probably just go have a check up with my GP. i never seem to explain myself well to doctors though, and they always seem to try and rush you in and out.

I just noticed that this has been going on for two months.  Any pain that last two months deserves the attention of a doctor.  In your case that would be a urologist, which is a specialist for the urinary tract.  Hope you feel better.

The first thing you need to do is examine your testes for any lumps or irregularities or differences in the size between them.  Pain in the testes after urination is usually caused by a bladder infection or UTI and can be accompanied by burning during or after urinating.  The pain in the testicle is usually referred from the bladder neck.  The prostate usually refers pain to the tip of the penis. Referred pain can be confusing since the pain seems to occur in a location where there is no injury or disease. If you find any irregularity in either testical after physically examining then you must go directly to a urologist. If the pain or burning lasts for more then a week or two or it gets much worse with a fever then you need to go to an E.R. because your condition could be life threatening.  It is probably just a mild URI that should go away on its own.  If not your doctor has several antibiotics that will cure your condition.  The only other thing I could think of is if you have recently had a catheter inserted or if you recently injured your penis and/or scrotum with rough sex your urine could leak through a tear into your scrotum but I think you would know that as it is very painful.  I only say this due to your age.  19 year old males can play rough.  If not no worries mate.
