How do I get rid of scar tissue on my penis?

k3x
I recently lost a layer or two of skin on part of my penis a couple of months back, which didn't really bother me at the time, as I figured it would heal. It did, but the problem is that what I got was scar tissue, and scar tissue doesn't stretch.

Now getting an erection hurts as the girth can't expand as much as it needs to in a specific place. What can I do to fix this? As it's scar tissue from a shallow wound, and not a cut, is it possible to carefully shave it off with a knife or is that a bad idea? I don't really care if it looks good or not, I just want the functionality back.

Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,
A guy who is too embarrassed to go to the doctor

I agree.  Doctors are immune to looking at people's genitals. They do it often and it is no big deal.  It's part of your overall health. I wouldn't be embarrassed to go to a doctor.  Do it now.

It will, though, most likely loosen up.  Let us know how it goes.

Hi there - I'm sorry, that must have been rather painful!  It sounds like your scar just has some lingering tightness.  There are a few things you can do at home to help soften the skin and reduce the scar tissue, including gentle massage/stretching of the skin, and applying some over-the-counter oils designed to soften the skin.  Here are a few suggestions:

You state that you are too embarrassed to go to the doctor, but rest assured that if you attempt at-home DIY surgery, you WILL get to see a doctor in person, likely in the emergency department, and you'll likely compound the scarring problem.  Don't do it.
