I had unprotected oral sex with a prostitute.

Hi Doc,

I had uprotected oral sex with a prostitute. She tried to erect my penis with her mouth unprotected for some seconds. Then she put on a condom on my penis. We had protected vaginal sex with a condom, after that i showered. After 2 days my penis and scortum started tingling and itching and started a burning sensation in my penis with no discharge. Also i noticed some pain in my lower back and abdomen. I got worried and went to a local std clinic to test for hiv and std. i told them my symptoms and they examined and tested me and gave me a 7 days dose of doxycycline for having a NGU. (Non gonococcal urithiritis)

After seven days of dose with doxycycline, i was feeling better with no symptoms. And they gave me results next week that i was negative on gonorhea, chlamydia, syphilis and hiv. I went home back with a piece of mind and i promised myself that i will not do this again.

As i am single, so its natural that i got sexual urge again. But i controlled myself and performed masturbation whenever i get an urge to do.

Exactly after 1 week again i started getting symptoms of tingling, itching and new symptoms of getting pain while urinating and some white discharge after peeing.
I have no rashes, bumps or acne on my penis.
I am worried again, what to do now.
Because my test are negative. And i did the test after 1 week of exposure with prostitute.
As i was feeling the symptoms.

Do i need to test again?
Are there any chances that the infection had took time to spread now?

Or still i need to get doxycycline dose because the 1 week dose was not enough to get that infection off?

Please help me with these, as i am going to test again. For hiv and std.

Oral sex is low risk for some STIs  and zero risk for others.  In your situation, the only real STI's that you could have been at risk for would have been gonorrhea or NGU, and the doxycycline would have taken care of both.  The new symptoms you have are not related to an STI.  They could be psychosomatic, or they could be related to something entirely different (e.g., irritated skin).  But you shouldn't lose sleep over an STI.

Hi Doc,

Thanks for your reply.

I got tested again for gonorhea and chlamydia at plannedparenthood. they now gave me azithromycin 500mg single dosage. my body developed stomach cramps and mild diahrhea for 2 days.they told that i am still negative for STD's. but symptoms are still there.

Burning sensation when i pee and pain in penis after pee. sometimes burning and itching too develops.
frequent urge to urinate also. but no discharge or change in colour of urine.

they suggested me to go to a primary care doctor.
i went to an urgent care clinic in my county today. told them the whole story and my symptoms. they took my urine sample and gave me ciprofloxacin for a week.
they assumed that may be i am having a UTI.

I appreciate if you please give me your suggestion.
whether i am going in a right path to get cured.
The azithromycin probably caused the stomach cramps and diarrhea (it's one of the possible side effects of the medication), not an STI.

As for the burning feeling, be sure that it's not psychosomatic.  STI's usually cause significant burning (e.g., imagine that you're peeing out gasoline on fire).  It's very possible that you have a UTI, which should the ciprofloxacin clear you up fine.

In any case, you don't have an STI  - which the tests you took already proved.
