Is clear gel like sperm that later feels like rubber Normal?

My husband and I have been trying to have a kid for almost 3 years. His mother told me years ago that he couldn't have kids because of something that happened to him as a kid. I have no idea what it is or if she was just saying to to be saying it. Here it is 3 years later and still no kid(s). So I was wondering if his sperm may be truly affected or something like that. He has a mostly clear but cloudy type of sperm. It lumps up to the point that where I'm able to pull it out of my vagina. It's really clumpy and slimy but after awhile it turns into like rubber.. is that normal?

The clumping isn't normal.  Would you be able to ask your husband about what happened years ago that his mother mentioned?  It seems odd that he hasn't mentioned anything about this to you.  In any case, a visit with his doctor would be beneficial concerning his sperm or this could be mentioned during a checkup if he hasn't had one in a year or more.
