Is it correct that once a sperm is dry it is dead?

Is it correct that once a sperm is dry it is dead? I want to know the answer.

Yes, the semen (i.e. the fluid) is vital to support the sperm and allow it to travel, without it the sperm will die. Keeping in mind though it has to be completely dry, if it was only partially dry there's still a small chance the sperm could've been alive.
