It's better without a condom. With a condom I feel nothing, like you described. Without one, it's great.
Also, I feel less pleasure in certain positions. ie the girl riding me. I almost get bored of it when we're in that position, because girls tend to like to just take it all in & grind on it....rather than the in/out friction. Maybe your girlfriend was doing this. I stick to doggy, missioanry & spooning.
Haha, well I have had a lot of problems with pituitary, testicles, thyroid and adrenals. I had to take supplentation for all of them, but luckily the pituitary problem healed as did the adrenal problem. I take a testosterone injection once a week and a thyroid pill once a morning. Really low maintanance, and symptoms are gone now. I'm 5'10, 210lbs of muscle with low body fat. Great energy and exercise often, more than anybody I know.
With supplementation, with these problems, you will be fine. Adrenal problems are tough though, just hope you don't have those, they are much harder to deal with.
Going to your family doctor is probably best. He might even be able to do some of the tests himself. Family doctors don't know hormone levels that well though, and may say you are fine when you aren't. There is a range your hormones can be in, for example, testosterone can be around 300-1000 ng/dL. You should be in the HIGH range, around 600-1000. If your test shows you are at 350 or something, you are very low, but still in the normal range. At your age, you should be much higher. A family doctor may look at this and say "Oh, hes in the normal range, hes ok" but he is WRONG. That's why I don't trust family doctors for that, it's not their specialty, and mine fudged up with me before I got to an endo by trying to do the tests himself.
I didn't want to have supplementation for the rest of my life either, it seemed so, forever and scary. I've accepted it now, especially since it's just popping a pill and doing a shot in my butt once a week. PLUS, when I get older, my testosterone won't start getting low like the average man's. I'll be able to keep it in the high normal range while average men's will lower with age. Just try to look at the positive side :)
I just wanted to say thank you so much for helping me sort out what I need to do, but reading this stresses the hell out of me. I am thankful that I am still able to fix it, but I can't believe this is happening to me at this age already and I cannot imagine myself taking supplementation for life. I wish I never had this problem. If only I was able to live without needing to take something to be healthier. I wouldn't mind if this happened to me in my late 30s and 40s, but just happening so early is scaring me. I got to find a way to look for an endocrinologist in my area because my parents are not the kind where they know where places are, which makes my problem even worse. I should probably tell them I have continuous low energy or something. I think it is better to visit my family doctor first so he can refer and tell me the nearest endocrinologist. Thank you for helping me out so much! I feel like a person who has been messed up or something, lol. How are you doing with your symptoms?
The endocrine system is an integrated system of small organs which involve the release of hormones. The endocrine system is instrumental in regulating metabolism, growth and development and puberty, tissue function, and plays a part also in mood. The field of medicine that deals with disorders of endocrine glands is endocrinology, a branch of the wider field of internal medicine.
Organs in this system include the testicles, pituitary gland, thyroid, adrenal gland, etc.
Just being off on one of these can cause the problem you are having. When I was younger I had sexual dysfunction similar to you, but I didn't know it and I thought I was okay(because everything else was fine). What I didn't know is I had a problem going on on the hormonal level that would just progress the longer I let it go without supplementing hormones.
Tell your parents you want to see an endocrinologist. If you don't want to tell them about the exact problem(I don't blame you) then tell them anything. Say you are feelin weak, your muscles repair slowly. just look up testosterone symptoms and throw at them anything you can get away with. Get to an doctor asap.
Also, if you have a hormonal disorder, it depends. Adrenal glands can rebound to full function again, but thyroid and testicle problems usually need supplementation for life, but it's cheap if you have decent insurance.. and if that's the problem, you will get sensation back and keep it so long as you keep up with your hormone replacement.
This really sucks because I am only 18 and I never knew men would have so many issues! Can this problem be repaired almost permanently or does it come back often? I also tried some other forums and it is strange because a lot of men have the same 'numb' problem yet no one really knows the solution to fix it. I think one of the big issues is low testosterone also because when I have sex I get a little tired or everytime I eat a meal whether big or small I fall asleep heavily. I am not as energetic either and to get a regular erection is a lot harder than it used to be, I have to think hard. What is endocrine? Thank you so much frustratedman, because I am starting to feel better finding out what is wrong with me.
I understand your problem, and I have a few endocrine disorders. When I was taking too little of certain hormone replacements, I'd lose sensation and it just felt like a finger. Trust me, it is suppose to tingle and feel really, really good. Your problem is physical, since you can get an erection and maintain until climax, it may not be a serious one. You may just have one thing wrong with you(maybe adrenals a little low, or testosterone, or maybe you have a thyroid problem, etc) It could be anything, but I'm sure it's something.
You MUST go to an endocrinologist. Get a full panel done on your hormones and see where everything is at. See a urologist too, but an endo is more important. Coming from someone who has been there.
I am uncircumcised and I was wearing a condom. I heard that even when you wear a condom you can still feel some sort of pleasure and to me sex is numb and I really want to fix it. I was wearing a condom, but even when she was giving me a handjob without it I still can't feel anything. Could it be due to low testosterone? Could it possibly be also due to porn? I watch it 4 days a week, but maybe because I think about it alot also. It can take a toll on your mind.
it sounds like you have low testosterone,a urological disorder,or you are circumcised.you better visit a doctor.
