Is this balanitis or not?

So a couple of days after having protected anal sex (I was the bottom), I noticed that my **** was beginning to feel itchy. I am uncircumcised and never really cleaned my **** head because I have tight foreskin, I had never experienced any problems before though. I did not know if the sex was connected with this because I did not insert my penis into anything nor did I receive oral. After the itching got slightly more intense, I began to pull back my skin and rinse my **** head in the shower. I do not use soap or anything, just let the water rinse it off. When I first pulled it back there was almost a white coating on my **** head of what I assume to be dry semen trapped under the foreskin. I began to refrain from masturbating after all of this began. After pulling back and rinsing for a couple of days, the white coating is gone and the **** head seems to be clean in regards to that. However, I notice there is redness around the rim of my **** especially in the left and right sides. When my foreskin is back to normal, I notice that the rim of my **** feels especially sensitive, it isn't really noticeable when flaccid. But I can feel it if i have an erection. It has been about a week since the initial onset of itchiness and now my foreskin feels itchy along with the over sensitivity around my **** head. I believe there is no discharge, no foul odor, and no pain while urinating. The sexual partner also confirmed that he had no STD's as he had been checked recently before we had sex. Also, I believe the day after I had sex I used a body gel to shower that I had never used before and I think perhaps that may be the reason for this, as symptoms started the next day. I don't know if this is a case of balantitis, an irritation from the body gel (I have not used it since the initial use), or some sort of yeast infection from the previous poor hygiene. I don't know whether to let this try and resolve or see a doctor already. I don't suspect any sort of STD or STI, but I don't want to jump to a conclusion and use an anti-fungal cream. I guess I'm just looking for opinions on here, thank you.
