What is causing the sleeplessness? Have you taken anything that keeps you awake?

I'm not sure maybe anxiety/depression I have a lot on my mind I just feel that the only sleep I get I just resting my eyes by keeping my eye lids shut and can't get into a deep sleep... I had surgery and I'm on doxycycline and ciprofloxacine that's it
Cipro can cause sleeplessness if you are drinking caffeine -

Do not drink or eat a lot of caffeine-containing products such as coffee, tea, energy drinks, cola, or chocolate. Ciprofloxacin may increase nervousness, sleeplessness, heart pounding, and anxiety caused by caffeine.

Avoid caffeine if you are on it, or at least several hours before bed. How much longer are you on it?

My doctor has said I can come off cipro and prescribed me with zopiclone to help me sleep but I feel like that didn't do anything last night either
Well, give it some time for the cipro to leave your system. Are you or were you on pain meds, too? Your body has taken a hit with anesthesia, pain, antibiotics, maybe pain meds. It may need some time to reset.

I noticed that you posted in the Depression forum. Is that new, too? That can be a side effect of cipro, too, and definitely of lack of sleep. Let your doctor know just how bad it is.

Thank you for your help of replying to my worries... I was also on doxycycline but no other medication... I came off my zopiclone last night and found it really hard to sleep but don't want to live my life taking zopiclone to help me sleep for a few hours especially when I have a baby on the way... any advice
Are you seeing a counselor or therapist about the depression? Do you think it is caused by your upcoming parenthood, or did you have it before?
Also, have you tried increasing your exercise?
