One red spot on the penis head, well defined oval 1 x 2 cm - no itch

Good Evening,
My girlfriend (we are together for 7 months) got a kitten and saved it from the streets. The kitten has not been treated with vaccines yet and the animal doc said it had some kind of fungi. We were very careful using alcohol when we were in contact with him in general. Nevertheless my girlfriend and me, developed something that looked like pityriasis rosea. One larger patch and many small ones coming at random times (not too many) at first feeling like mosquito bites and then developing like miniatures of the larger one. After a few weeks the mother patch disappeared. Now (several weeks after) the smaller ones stopped appearing as well or one appears at a random time and goes away fast. What concerns me is that one day (15 days ago) I observed a patch like the mother one on my penile head. A well defined reddish spot a bit elevated looking like a small ringworm (or the pityriasis rosea mother patch). There is no other symptoms except for the first day when I had a shower and because of some burn I observed it But after that there is just the spot and there is no other symptom. Of course I went to a doctor and had me tested initially for syphilis and I was negative in both tests. The patch is not like an ulcer anyway but he said we had to rile it out. Tp the kitten I referred to because two other people who were in contact with him also developed the skin disorder I described above (but no genital abnormalities as far as I know). My dermatologist told me to apply Travogen for 10 days and "Lets see" I was worried about cancer because of the "No other symptoms" thing but he told me its not (I hope). What do you think? Could it be a zoophiliac disease (I repeat though.. there is no other symptom like itch), is it fungi? None of the descriptions I have seen on the net match. Even the doctor seemed confused. Sometimes after travogen treatment (going on for a week now) it seems lighter in color in the middle, having a red borderline. It seems to be going a bit larger though in width but also "Falling" in elevation (this could be also perceived wrongly by me). Thank you so much in advance for any additional input.

After 5 more days applying travogen, no significant change still. After Christmas I will visit a doctor again but if you have any ideas about this please share.
