Recently got Epididmytis

I am new to this site, I'm 20 years old and was diagnosed with Epididmytis 8 days ago... It all started 12 days ago.. When I felt a very dull pain in my left testicle as I was laying on the couch watching Netflix... I thought nothing of it as we all get pains and they usually go away.. and it did.. It would just come back for maybe 3-5 min spans throughout the day but not much.. Around 2-3 days later It got to the point where it was 24/7 and bad enough that when I woke up in the middle of the night I couldn't get back to sleep due to the pain... So I went to the ER and saw a doctor..
He came in and felt a few areas and said does this hurt? does this hurt? etc.. and when I Said where it hurt he said you have Epididmyis.. I also have some redness on the balls (He didn't say that but it's obvious lol) .. I don't believe I have any swelling everything looks normal to me.
Anyway he prescribed me Doxycycline 100mg twice daily for 10 days and Naproxen 275MG twice daily for 7 days.
I took these pills for 4 days and noticed 0 improvements and was in very much pain 24/7 so I went in again to another ER (I live in the middle of two towns) ... This time the Doc basically did the same thing with asking where it hurt... said I believe Epididmyis is the correct diagnosis.. She gave me new pills though.
Ciprofloxacin 500mg twice daily 14days and Naproxen 500mg twice daily for 20 days.
I'm now just about to take the 5th Ciprofloxacin pill so I'm beginning day 3 on new meds.. The higher dose of Naproxen has absolutely helped the pain some, It hurts and is very unpleasant but it has went from 24/7, 8-9 on scale of 10 to a 5-6.
After reading online about this condition I am very worried I will never be fixed as I have read horror story after horror story of people saying they never got rid of it and it's been 5+ years etc.. It really beats me down mentally thinking I will have to deal with this for along time.. I don't think I could handle that.
So basically my concern/question is.. How common is it to not get fixed like I read about so much.. Is it normally fixed?.. Also if I touch my left testicle like at all even the lightest touch possible it immediately makes me feel light headed, drained of energy and feel like throwing up and im gonna pass out... So it's that sensitive..
I have been peeing basically ever 1h30m-2h30m It seems very frequent is this normal? I do drink a lot of water but not that much lol.
They said they would call me sometime in the next weeks to Schedule an ultrasound, It's kind of depressing because I wish it could be done just so I wouldn't have to worry in my head what is going on down there.. It would answer some questions maybe..
Anyway hope someone here can help me out and help me understand this more and if I'll get better :(
Also as a note, I'm not sexually active... But I'm concerned I will never be able to in the future as when I read online ppl say it gets cured sometimes then having sex or masturbating makes it come back :(
I feel very negative towards this and have lots of bad thoughts and it would be great if someone on here could help ease that with some positive stories about this or something...
How long does it usually take for the meds to help? I feel like Naproxen is just masking the pain but the problem isn't getting fixed.. Also I can't elevate like I said because if I even touch them it causes me to almost faint lol.
Last thing, Sometimes I feel some pain in my right one... That didn't start happening until a few days ago.. Is that normal to have it switch sometimes and go back and fourth? It's still 95% of the time the left one and was 100% the left until that.
I really hope this post isn't too long and someone can answer my many questions/concerns.
