Retracting the foreskin hurts

I'm 21 and uncircumcised. While growing up never had the idea that the foreskin can be retracted and has to be pulled back until probably a year ago. After getting to know this , I tried pulling the skin back, and do so daily. When not erect, I can  pull the foreskin back pretty easily, so its okay in the shower in terms of hygiene. But when erect, i really have to struggle, and when I do manage to pull it back, it sort of gets stuck between the head and the rest of the penis, and hurts a lot, any suggestions if I should continue to pull back or what?

Also, because I had never touched the head of my penis before, (not even now when I masturbate as the foreskin covers it) Any suggestions on how to lower that sensation, I'e tried masturbating by just stroking the head, and came too fast, and normally I last much longer.

Also, will this affect my sex life in any way(I'm a virgin)

What you describe is paraphimosis.  In young people this is merely an anatomic variation - the orifice of your foreskin is smaller than your glans is when your penis is erect.  Glans penises enlarge too, during an erection.  Some more than others.  As a result, some uncircumcised men simply avoid pulling the foreskin all the way back during an erection - for exactly the reason you describe.  If you're still young, you can often, over time, with some patience, enlarge the opening of the foreskin enough to allow full retraction.  But don't push it.  If you damage the tip of your foreskin you could scar it and then it will never be fully retractable while erect.  Easy does it.

You could address this question with a urologist. They would be able to tell you if what you are experiencing is normal [I would guess it is] and perhaps just a little later than average for pulling the foreskin back, or if there is any concern. There is a condition called phimosis, you could read up on it but don't freak yourself out. Millions of people in the world have come and gone who did not regularly pull back their foreskin, who did not need to have an operation later. I think you're doing pretty well to be able to pull it back comfortably for cleaning, and that seems to suggest it will get more comfortable when you are excited. But talk to your doc.
