Vibration sensation in penis

For a couple of weeks, I have a vibrating sensation in the penis area.  I first thought my cell phone may have started it since I have had it attached to my belt, on the vibrate status.  I stopped doing this and still feel it.  It is either a vibration or a sensation of filling up with liquid.  No other symptoms are there.  No pain in urination, no pain in sex, have been married for many years with one partner, and no urge to go to the bathroom.  It happens randomly, and lasts for 3-6 seconds then goes away.  It is irritating but not painful.

Any thoughts on this issue would be helpful.

It's been 7 months since I posted out here.  The buzzing sensation is back again!  Looks I have quite a few posts to review and catch up with everyone's observations.  Looks like nobody has found THE root cause yet.

Chalk another one up, mine started yesterday - I'm 38 and in good health and just 5-10 pounds over ideal weight.  Weird feelings in left testicle, light pressure/pain, and then the vibrating.  Maddening at times, kept me up at times last night.  Common factors with others I've read:

1.) I had a spinal fusion when I was 22, L5 to S1.  Over the years, it's gone out.  Sometimes it's worse than others.  Yesterday was a bad one, I had to leave work early.  It aches as I sit here.

2.) I've been doing a lot of sitting lately, I'm a software tester approaching a deadline.

3.) On again/off again with lots of vitamins including saw palmetto and L-argenine and male-centric supplements.

I've not had sex in over a month, as I'm 'in between' relationships.  So I figured I may have been getting backed up down there.... Aaaand, you know what comes next.  Two goes later, and the buzzing is still there.  Oh well, I tried.

Weird, not buzzing now as I sit here, but I'm sure it'll come back when I lay on the heating pad (posture, another commonality) in a moment.

I've had pressure like this in my left testicle before, but this is the first time I've had the vibrating thing going on and I'm glad I'm not alone.

OK peace out y'all.  If anyone wants to discuss this or compare symptoms directly with me, or has any other related questions, please feel free:  mytreesloth at g mail *******.

Thanks, and good luck to everyone with this odd issue.

I'm following up on my previous post from 03/16/08, where I was zeroing in on the One-A-Day Men's Health Formula vitamins as the culprit in my particular case.  Obviously this would not apply to all cases here, but in my particular case it was something about those vitamins.  I stopped taking them again in late March, and several days later the vibration/buzzing completely stopped.  That was the second time it completely stopped after discontinuing those vitamins.  I also experienced on two occasions that the vibration/buzzing started several days after starting to take those vitamins.  Strange, but I haven't had any problem with this since stopping the vitamins.

Like so many others have stated, I am glad I found this site.
I too have had a "buzzing" on the tip of penis for about a week now; and like so many have stated I thought it was my cell phone at first. I am a 26 yr old male, with high blood pressure and a history of kidney stones, and only one sexual partner (my wife). My first fear was that another stone was preparing to pass, but after a week I am pretty sure it is not related. I have been working a lot on a new home, installing a porch and laying a brick walkway. My back has felt tight in the mornings so I could see that being connected. It is more a nuance than anything else. I have had sex this week and had no problems or irritations. I just would like to know what it is.
With so many postings on this site and such a long history (2years now) of being here, I too am surprised that there is not research or medical journals reporting on this. I hope to keep searching.

I am a 41 year old female experiencing this same vibration sensation by my clitoris, at the top of my crotch. It started when the day I was using a miter saw to do some trim work.  That was Friday, and today is Monday.  I did fall last week, so maybe it is related to the spine and nerves?  In addition, I have been lifting heavy bricks and doing some work around the house that is maybe too straining for me, but I live with my mom and there is no man around to help.  So, the moral of the story is that it can occur in females also.

Also, I'm having real trouble falling asleep. I wish this would STOP!
