Weird Lump?

i have a weird lump on my penis, its about half an inch across, and its round. Ive had it for a couple years now, it doesnt hurt, leak, grow, or anything, its just... there. I dont know if its against any rules to post pictures on the message boards, but i will if its ok. Im really just tired of this thing.

half an inch across and a quarter of an inch high sounds significant to me.  i would definitely get it checked if i were you.  don't waste time thinking about it and worrying about it and thinking about how embarrassed you will be, just set the appointment and go.  trust me, i have had to do the same thing myself, and i am quite possibly the most shy person i know.  but in the end, the peace-of-mind is worth it all, and it is also comforting knowing your doctor is sworn to secrecy by professional oath as well as legal obligation.  he will protect your secret to protect his license to practice medicine.

id say it raises up mabye a quarter of an inch. its about half an inch away from the head on the underside. its always the same, soft or hard. its underneath the skin.

this definatly isnt just some normal irregularity (oxymoron?)

mabye ill have it checked out some day.

It would be hard to be able to tell much from your description, but I would say chances are that it is harmless.  You mentioned that it is about half an inch across.  How high does it raise from the penis?  Where on your penis is it located?  Is it more prominent when you are erect?  Is it on the skin or under the skin?  I have heard a doctor say in the past that scar tissue can form sometimes and if it doesnt interfere with any functions, it is probably not much to worry about.  He also said that all penises are different, some have different colors, different shapes, bumps and ridges here and there, etc., and they are all normal.

If I were you, I would get it looked at by a doctor.  It is a small price to pay for some reassurance if you are concerned.  It may feel embarrassing to go to an old guy and ask him to look at and feel your private part, but he will have seen a million of them, and is only there to help.  And if, by some remote chance, it is something more serious, the sooner you find out, the better.

Good luck.

i shouldnt say ive "had" it for a couple years. Im only 18, so i dont remember it ever not being there, but i dont remember waking up one day and it being there either, so i guess its been there since i can remember.
