Weird chest pains

My husband has been complaining of his chest and heart hurting.  He says when he's at work he has to psyche himself out of it and think of other things. Also, when he comes home and tries to go to sleep, he says he can't because he feels like he won't wake up.  He says it's like it's pulling him farther and farther away.  Please.  Any help?

Seriously, have him see a doctor if he hasn't already - the sooner the better.

Hi,
You may also take an ECG to ensure that his heart is really alright.

This sounds like an anxiety attack, but it can be triggered by some nerves in the neck at c6 c7... I would get both checked out. Anxiety happens to everyone at some level and it is expressed in different ways. Commonly for men they worry about heart disease and so it exhibits as chest pain that is not truly related to heart problems.
