Yellow tongue and some times sore

Dear all,
I have posted before about my yellow tongue that I had for over 5 month. I have tested HIV negative on numerous occasions. So I’m ruling this one out. My doc prescribed diflucan 5 tablet one every 3 days but not much change. Every now and then I get this pain on my left side of my tongue but it disappears the next day. I keep brushing off the yellow junk and they keep coming back.
However, I’m a smoker and drink coffee everyday but never had this before.
Any help of what it could be and how I can get rid off it. Its just annoying.
Thank you very much for your attention.
