One of the best things you can do is tell someone you know and trust. When I did it helped me stop better. Also when you get the urge do something to keep you busy. I have done the same thing as you. also keep around people. you wouldn't masturbate in public. i personally work out when I feel like masturbating but you find something you are passionate about besides that and go and do it. it is ok to do it every so often but now I hardly ever have the urge to masturbate.
