diastasis recti surgery....6 moths later

It has been six months since my diastasis recti  and tummy tightening surgery. From week one my stomach became and still is VERY SWOLLEN and hard. Is this normal? It is still virtually the same size since week one.

My highly skilled Harvard trained plastic surgeon said it will go down...but there seems ( I perceive) to be only the most tiny progress.

Can or should anything be done to relieve or accelerate the shrinking progress?

I am a very muscular man and I do not know if that is a factor in this large protrusion.

On a side note the girth has kept me house bound.

Thank you

Dave

It does take a long time for the swelling to go down but 6 months seems like a very long time. I would recommend seeing another Dr if you can't get answers from your current Dr.
