left side abdominal pain radiating through left testicle

my husband has been having a constant pain in his left side abdomin/groin which has radiated down into his left testicle.  He said that it feels a little "weird" when he urinates, not sure if it felt like it was burning or not.   He says its the equivalent of being hit in the testicle with a hammer.   What could be causing this and should he seek medical help?

Could be prostatitis, epididymitis or orchitis. Either way, it should be assessed by your physician for treatment and investigation.
