Hi,
How are you? Low IGF-1 concentration may suggest GH deficiency or an insensitivity to GH. If it is due to nutritional deficiencies, chronic kidney or liver disease, or a more general decrease in pituitary function brought about by inherited defects or pituitary damage following conditions such as trauma, infections, and inflammation, further evaluation may need to be done. Bovine colostrum is possibly effective for infectious diarrhea but there is insufficient evidence for athletic performance, stimulating the immune system, healing injuries, burning fat, repairing nervous system damage or infections.
It is best that you discuss the results of your IGF-1 first with your attending physician prior to taking any medication and to determine the underlying cause for proper management. Additional diagnostic tests may also be indicated. Take care and do keep us posted.
