my husband's heart rate is 120 when he gets up out of bed,  is this too high

Yeah, its about twice as fast as it should be. Get him to a cardiologist ASAP. Normal heart rate for a man is between 60-70 bpm.

As my cardiologist explained to me, you only get so many heartbeats in your lifetime. And, your hubby is using his up way too fast.
