tail bone pain

hi.
I was sitting on my chair at work for a very prolonged period of time (about 7-12 hours) in a slouched position.
Next day i woke up and found two painful lumps on the top of my tailbone/coccyx bone. i figure that ive sat on my tailbone for way too long and that i has just bruised up. Ive never had any problems with my tailbone before.
I was wondering how long would it take too heal?

Hi,
They could be boils caused due to poor circulation and if they do not get calmed down by tomorrow, do meet your GP.

could it be a pilonidal cyst? because Ive read they grow on the left side of the butt cheek, but i have one on either side and the right one is larger than the left?

thanks for that, today all i did was lie down and had a heat pack lying on top of my tailbone. the pain has gotten to when i walk it hurts. i have to walk slowly but the pain is still there, Ive also noticed that the two painful lumps on my tailbone are red....does this mean they are cysts or boils under my skin. because they dont look like they can be popped. im going to the gp tomorrow to get another opinion.

Hi,
If you take rest in the lying position and apply some warm compress over the area, the pain should reduce in a day. If it does not , or if it increases, go to ER.
