This is what we need.  Only people who take or have taken methadone understand about it.  I am here to say that methadone has saved my life.  Some people have such a negative opion of methadone but I think it is a great start to a road of recovery.  Sure a lot of people abuse it but for those of us who want to do the right thing it really does work.  I hope the Methadone Community stays for a long time to come.  I do not even know how I found it.  What is the web address to get here.  I want to tell everyone at the clinic about this site.  I hope it takes off.  I really need a place like this.  The other place I have been posting at is good too but I do not feel like I can be 100% honest on that site because of the negative opion that some people have about methadone.  Most of the people that do not like methadone have never even been on it.  Going cold turkey was not an option for me.  Going to inpatient treatment was not an option for me either.  I have been on Methadone since March 12th 2009 and that is the last time I touched a pill.  I just found this place I am so excited but I am also so tired.  I will be back in the am to post some more!!!!   Please send me the web address so I can give it to everyone at the clinic in the am

I was on methadone for almost 2 years.I failed at tapering twice so the third time I got down to 25mgs and then went c/t.I have been free of methadone for 616 days and if I can help anyone in any way,all you need to do is ask.All the best...Kim

I'm not Hollie, but the address is Medhelp.com. I'm also on meth and think this is a good idea, but remember everyone could read what you write, unless you make them your friend.  Hollie helped me thru a rough period. She's great.
