10 Day Headahe swollen forehead face pain clear ct

Hello everyone,

My name is Jennifer and I am in need of some help. Over a week ago, I noticed for lack of a better description a bring red slightly swollen large square shape on my forehead, I thought it was form the cold, as it has been freezing and windy, but it did not go away, my face turned bright red and burned and was hot to the touch, took benedryl to no avail, I soon had the beginning of the worst headache of my life, extreme face pressure, and swelling still on my forehead no matter what I do, went to ER for headache after 9 days and they did a CAT of my brain, and sinus cavities, both were normal, did also get an MRI but no results yet, the pain medication they gave me does not seem to help. I can no longer work out and i have been to 5 Drs., all of whom are completely confused by my condition. Has anyone suffered from this? I have lyme disease, have been treated and at first thought the two were related, but it does not seem this is the case. I am only 28 and geez I need to be functioning at my job and I can barely, I have iced my head also..No known allergies and no sudden changes in anything in my life. I am scared at this point and hoping someone can help me out.

Thank You

Hi, I have been through the neurological ropes before, I have been sick for two years with horrible nuero symptoms and an ongoing fever, I have every test imaginable and went to over 20 Drs. to get diagnosed with neurological lyme disease, I was treated last January with IV antibiotics and was just starting to get on my feet again and now this, I have not experienced this before and have no idea if I even ever had Nuero lyme as I never tested positive for it(not that you need to, I have done a huge amount of research on this) or if this is part of it, I have permeant damage due to this lyme. I imagine I will be going back to a neurologist but not sure where to pick up, no other symptoms right now surprisingly I have no had a fever as of late. The pressure is incredible and the crown of my head is also sore as if I have had my hair in a ponytail very tightly for days.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? Any update on the MRI  result? Are there other symptoms present like fever?  A referral to a neurologist for further evaluation may help rule out neurological causes. If the pain medications are not helping, inform your doctor about this for proper management. Stronger prescription medications may be indicated. Hang on and do keep us posted.
