Altered sense of smell

For 3 months I have been suffering with a altered sense of smell. Every time I inhale it feels like I’m inhaling chemical fumes or smoke. Its horrible!! I also started getting bad headaches on my right side with jabbing pains behind my right eye. Went to an ENT and they gave me nasal spray and want to do a CT scan of the sinuses. They also found scarring inside my nose and irritation under my vocal cords. My sensitivity to light, smells and air condition is so high right now it’s driving me crazy. I don’t understand it. The worst part is I can’t stand to be awake and breathe this god awful smell continually. How did this all come about when I was fine 3 months ago. I’m so desperate for help right now. If anyone has suggestions please tell me because I can’t take this much longer. Thank you!
