Constant pain for unknown reasons

I can not get rid of my headache. To date I hvae been on three medications for my headaches (meloxicam, zomig and propranolol) but nothing seems to help. My headache has lasted for a month straight but it seems to be getting worse. My family doctor seems to think that I have sinus, tension and migraine headaches. The pain and sensitivity to light has become so bad that I have to sit in a dark and not move all night after a day at school. The pain is mainly behind my eye and on my nose bridge, then it spreeds to my forehead. Eventually taking over the whole front half of my head. Now my left eye lid is swollen along with this side of my nose bridge. This has become totally debilitating not to mention its making my mood swings (due to borderline personality disorder) even worse. What is wrong with me? Help

Hi,
How are you? Do you still experience these headaches? If it persists, you may need to have this evaluated further for proper management. Additional tests like CT scan will help rule out any secondary cause. Take care and do keep us posted.

I would get yourself to a doctor ASAP, preferably a neurologist if you can get a referral. It ~is~ possible to break migraines that have been lasting that long, or longer, but it's much harder and requires heavy duty (or heavy doses of)  meds such as prednisone.

I do sympathize with your plight tho. I used to have migraines that went on for up to 8 weeks before I contracted status migrainosis.

good luck and keep us informed,

~dame
