Almost 2 weeks ago (tomorrow) a chiropractor I know, but normally don't see adjusted my neck. Immediately after I had a headache that wrapped around from the lower back of the head to my forehead. I had no associated neck pain, just the headache. I don't normally go and get my neck or back adjusted, just deep tissue work for a shoulder inflammation injury.
I saw my regular Chiro and followed up with the one that did the adjustment and both said it would go away, but may take up to 3 weeks. The Chrio that did the adjustment stated that he just pulled up on my neck too hard and is used to working on bigger bodybuilding clients.
After 9 days, the headache went away completely! I was relieved. Then, this morning, after no headaches for 4 days, the headband headache came back. It's not super painful, but it is distracting and pain relievers are not doing a whole lot. Icing the back of the head for 15 minutes every hour does seem to help.
Has anyone experienced this before and will it truly go away? I don't think it's caused permanent damage and I feel 100% otherwise, so I feel like that means it's healing.
Thanks for your feedback!
