Inner Cranial Muscle Strain

I have been having unpredictable headaches for three weeks and have only been able to go to work three days of that time.  I have constant pressure, but the pain varies from day to day.  The fluxuations are driving me to the brink.  Yesterday I could work,  had some confusion and concentration issues, but when i got home to relax, the pressure gradually increased.  In a span of six hours I went from a pain scale of three to a nine.  I could not sleep due to the pain.  The pressure is there daily, but never is predictable.  I have not had more than an hour of undisrupted sleep for three days and each time the pain excellerates, it seems to be excellerating higher.  There has been no relief from medication.  Pressure points give temporary relief, heat gives temporary relief (like the pain moves to avoid the heat) and I am at my wits end.

I also have pain in my muscles on my arms and my right leg with occasional numbness.  It is like a struggle to lift them and they feel weak and painful.  I can lift heavy objects and have full motion and motor skills.  It is only painful to me and no one would know I have any issue by looking at me or what I can do.  Doctors have tested me on this and I have passed all the strength and muscle tests.  There is nothing cutting off the circulation.  This pain has been going on for seven months now and only recently have the headaches overlaped.

Oh and I have this annoying metallyc taste in my mouth.

I did have two head traumas in June and July and had just moved to the area, so i did not have a set Dr yet.  The one I had an appointment with did not encourage any treatment at the time.  I had several head traumas as I child (active kid) and was never encouraged to get treatment then either, so I did not find this unusual.

I had the initial pain and the recovery pain, but the headaches stopped.  They were followed by nausea every morning until mid-afternoon daily until late September early October.

My family physician thought that the pain in my limbs is related to stress.  He has run the gammot on all the blood work finding nothing unusual.  While he was on vacation I went to the ER and they sent me to a neurologist who has diagnosed me with "Inner Cranial Muscle Strain".  She has prescibed Physical Therapy.  My insurance coverage of PT is very minimal and I don't have the money after being out of work for three weeks.

This is debilitating and the depression caused by all this is getting worse.

Any suggestions?

Thank you so much.  That is the best advice i have recieved.  It seems that finding the cause of my problem is not a priority, just to treat the symptom and hope it goes away.

Hi,

Headaches have been known to occur weeks, months and years after head injury. This is known as post concussion syndrome. Other symptoms of this condition include memory loss and changes in personality and attention.
Since you have numbness also along with headaches it is important that you undergo a CT scan of the brain to rule out neurological causes like MS, and minor strokes.
I would also suggest you to discuss the use fo magnesium and B  complex supplements with your doctor as they are known to help with chronic headaches.
