TEST
Two things:
Imitrex in it's generic form is available, and cheaper for you AND health insurance.
Secondly, I have had this same issue continuously with my health insurance, and what I've needed to do over and over is get my doctor to apply to health insurance for special dispensation for me. If I need it, I am able to get a 3 month supply of two injections per day from the mail order pharmacy.
When I was having frequent migraines and my insurance would only pay for one refill of Maxalt each month, I obtained prescriptions for both Maxalt and Relpax and filled both each month. They worked equally well for me.
I had a similar problem with Maxalt (a drug in the same class as Relpax-they are both triptans). My insurance would only cover 12 pills, and I need more. My doctor filled out the necessary paperwork for my insurance co., saying I need more than "typically alotted". The pharmacy division of your insurance co. can give you more info. If that's not possible, have you tried another triptan? Maxalt, Imitrex, and Relpax all work for my migraines. Good luck!
