Hi,
Migraine attacks responds well to prescription medicines. Over-the-counter pain medicines also help but taking them for so long may lead to rebound headaches. The most recommended treatment is identification of the migraine triggers and avoiding them to prevent recurrent attacks. A headache journal may help with this. You write any activity or food that you eat or do before any attack and try to identify which is consistently causing the headaches.

Hi,
How are you? Treatment for migraine attacks usually involves medical management and avoiding the possible headache triggers. Certain foods, excessive hunger, changes in altitude, weather, lights, excessive smoking, and emotional stress are usually implicated. Ice packs; and prescription medications may help. Biofeedback, betablockers , anti-convulsant, calcium blockers and NSAIDs may prevent or treat migraine headaches. Discuss with your doctor the best treatment plan suited for you. Take care and do keep us posted.
