Thank you for all your help, i sincerely appreciate it. I'm going to give everything a try and i'll post a new statement with my results after my little "experiment". I was headache-less for about two days, but this afternoon it came back- I took three 200 mg ibuprofen and have been at a temporary peace since....here goes nothing!
Hi,
Headaches can be physiological response to excessive stress and anxiety. Such type of headaches are known as tension headaches.
Headaches can also be triggered by low blood sugar, high blood pressure, anemia, and dehydration, poor eyesight.
Migraine headache are vascular headaches due to brain dysfunction and have a genetic basis as well.
Sometimes headaches indicate a serious illness like brain tumor or even stroke.
A continuous headache not relieved by OTC pain medications should not be left alone.
A thorough clinical examination is mandatory in these cases.
Sounds like rebound headaches from the Caffeine in the Ibebrophen, add that to a cofee or two if you drink it and some choc if you eat it and a few sodas,Rebound , cut the med down and some caffeine out they will go.
An ice pack applied to the point of where the pain originates can be a gift from God. You need to constrict those expanded blood vessels.
Never take deep breathing for granted...it is key to relaxation and pain control. Over and over, slowly breathe in through your nose and even slower out through your nose. Try to make your exhaling last twice as long as when you inhaled...longer even. Count silently to yourself and do not berate yourself when you make a mistake, juist try to do better with the nest breaths. Keep it up. Even when you tire of it. It is so important. keep researching. Keep searching... from within especially.
You may need to see an M.D. You are definitely taking too much ibuprofen too often & could cause yourself some serious stomach problems. Google headaches. The causes are infinite. So are the treatments. Keep the faith. Time is on your side.
Hey,
Thanks for such a speedy response! No other symptoms really, sometimes i get lightheaded if i move too quickly, but nothing too major. Everything seems to be fine, except for those darn headaches! What could the headaches be a sign of?
Hi,
The maximum dose of brufen is 1.2 g/day. If taking under physician recommendation it is 3.2g/day. It should not be taken continuously for more than 10 days unless advised by the doctor.
Do you have any other symptoms apart from headache?
A high blood pressure, low blood sugar levels, dehydration, sinusitis are some of the common causes apart from stress and tension.
I would advise you to eat regularly, sleep for 8 hrs in the night, maintain your fluid intake and cut down on your daily stress and see if it helps. At the same time please schedule an appointment with your physician as chronic recurring headache calls for a complete clinical examination.
