Temple tenderness

What could be causing the right side of my temple to be so sore everytime I touch the temple or the cheeck bone it sends a pain straight through my head and it makes my head hurt and I get kinda sick to my stomach and dizzy my ear also feels stopped up.

Look into Temporal arteritis occurs when one or more arteries become inflamed and are damaged. It occurs most commonly in the head, especially in the temporal arteries that branch off the cartoid artery in the neck. The cause is unknown, but researchers think the inflammation is due to a faulty immune system response. It occurs almost exclusively in those over 50 years old, but may occasionally occur in younger people. There is some evidence that it can be hereditary.
I think I might have had it for the last 6 months. Still trying to find diagnosis for dizziness.

The first possibility that comes to mind is TMJ. Are you in the habit of clenching your teeth?
It is characterized by pain, tenderness and later on dysfunction. It can also cause secondary pain in the ear.
Other possibilities include sinusitis, ear infections and dental problems like tooth abscess.
Please get yourself clinically evaluated by your family doctor. In the meantime ice packs and OTC pain killers will help.
