formication 'creepy crawly sensation'

I have headaches for 5 weeks. Been to GP & hospital they have all said it's 'anxiety based'. It started with a migraine. Now I have an itching sensation and a creepy crawly sensation over my scalp.... It's starting to drive me absolutely mad. What make this sensation happen? Is it anxiety? It's apparently called 'formication'? What is the treatment???????????????????????????????????

Can anyone help?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? Formication is often associated with several underlying medical issues like neuropathies, high fever, thyroid disorders, syphilis, skin cancer, and herpes zoster. It can also be due to an adverse drug reaction. It is important that the cause be identified first because treatment will depend on this. Try not to scratch to prevent further infection and to break the cycle of itch/scratch. Take care and do keep us posted.

Someone please explain to me what I can do about the 'formication', it is driving me mad. Nothing relieves it. I wash my hair roughly to try and ease it but it's no good. What can I do. I am constantly itching my head....

My headaches are still there, I clench my teeth all the time because of my anxiety. Don't know what to do about that either. Any suggestions please please please.....
