Hi,
It's so good to hear from you again. It is nice to know that the tests done were normal and the stroke diagnosis turned out to be TIA. How about the bony lesion in your ear? Can you identify triggers of the headache or dizziness? It is possible that these are environmentally- related as well and if you try to avoid them, recurrences may also be avoided. Continue the medications as prescribed and do keep us posted. Take care always.
hello im sorry its been awile im recovering from what appeared to be a stroke at onset which turned out to be a tia that had nero baffled because of the length of symptoms. im still having some headaches fatiuge occasional heart fluttering and some weird moments of dizziness like feeling on elevator . goodnews all test look good no blocked arterys in neck spine etc. echo looked ok so why is this happening? as for now asprin a day a b-complex nerologist visits monthly fishoil due to elevated chloestrol. thanks for listening and caring........
Hi,
How are you? What were the results of the MRA, 2-d echo and blood tests? Palpitation or unpleasant sensations of irregular beating of the heart can be due to heart issues and other medical conditions such as thyroid dysfunction. The results of the echocardiography will help rule out cardiac causes. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
headaches frequently much like nthe day i went to doc. except during them even while laying down i will feel this dizzininess or somethin i really cant explain the feeling as it only last a few seconds at a time .lastnight i woke up several times like this and sweaty heart beating weirdly with a fluttering sensation ..........felt like i was in a fog not quite alert i guess..
thank you! i do really feel comfortable with my doctor.i will be having a mra on tomorrow and a echo on march 9th. we have done lots of bloodwork. i still appreciate you and your thoughtfulness and it certainally has helped me.
Hi,
Thanks for the updates. The cyst and lesion may be referring to the same thin. There are different kinds of cystic lesions in the brain and it is indeed important to have this evaluated for proper diagnosis. Your symptoms may be associated with this and it is good that more tests will be done. I know what is happening can be scary but try to stay positive. It is better to be vigilant and identify the possible underlying issues to ease the anxieties present also. Have an open communication line with your doctor and remember that they are there to help. Take care and do keep us posted.
i will be having some more test to find cause of these cystic lesssions .................kinda scared ..............
i also wanted to add neck pain and stiffness to my symptoms im feeling that now .almost like my head is too heavy for my neck . is that weird?
hi i heard from 2 doctors . i was in their office on sat . with my daughter who had ear infection and i thot i had a bladder infection which i did . the doc we saw had the mri results in front of him . it is a oestoma and the evidence of the old stroke present. and small lessions on brain . he said my doc would call and talk with me. well this am she did and she said there were cyst present and could i come in to discuss all the findings and how to proceed. i did not tell her her college told me the results because i didnt want to and at the same time i dont want to sound stupid when i ask the question are lesions and cyst the same ? i still have pressure and the headaches ear seem to come and go . i have nausea and lightheadness . some numbness or tingling in my hand and fingers on the rightside occasionally. i stopped meds to see if the nausea and dizzy would stop. no such luck and now there is some realpain on bone behind ear where tumor is pain and burning. i also find my appetite is not good or taste is not great. .alot to say huh sorry . what are your thoughts? thank you for your response and care . i really appreciate it. lmj
hope to hear from my doctor today mri was wednesday.
Hi,
How was your MRI? If you are not taking any medications aside from your vitamins, the possible medication side effect may be ruled out. At this point, continue your pain medications for pain relief. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
no meds except for multi vitamin and b12. thank you so much for your response and care
Hi,
Thanks for the update. it is good that the initial evaluation of your ear was clear. However, further tests may need to be done such as otoscopy and tympanometry. What medications were you taking prior to the start of your symptoms? This is to rule out any possible effect from medications also such as dizziness. The results of the MRI would be very helpful indeed in determining the underlying cause. Take care always.
the only other symptom i have is occassional nausea. swimmy headed.
helllo my mri is scheluded for wed. my ears on initial evalution were clear. i guess its a waiting game until i get results from mri. i still feel some pain and pressure. the meds do help relax me at night so i can rest.
Hi,
How are you? Are there other symptoms present? Bony mass may be due to osteomas, benign cysts, swollen lymph nodes or underlying ear conditions that needs to be evaluated further by an ear doctor. The results of the MRI would help us determine the underlying cause. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
