Am I crazy?

I have been experiencing headaches "migraines"" for the past 7 months out of the blue. I've had a MRI and CT scan as well as numerous blood tests all coming back clear as day. My headaches tend to start at the base of my neck on the right side of the occipital nerve. However they do tend to move all over feeling a scraping sensation on my scalp as well. These headaches has been a constant everyday in waves occurence making me feel "weird" aka anxious, light headed, shaky and I can't control it. I'm afraid to be alone and also afraid that the docs are missing something? I've been prescribed everything known to man and definitely am not a fan of prescription drugs and nothing gives relief. I'm in therapy which tends to help me cope, I've seen a chiropractor a few times and even a massage therapist. Like I said it's an everyday occurrence and some days are more manageable then others. Please tell me me I'm not alone?!?!?!

Yes, it is called chronic migraines. I go through spells where I have one 24/7 for months at a time, then they clear up for a while.

Would a migraine be all day almost every day though? I've tried numerous medication as well as a nerve block. I've seen my doc and it seems like they just want to shove another drug in my face. As someone who hasn't ever had a migraine in 29 years of life it just seems really strange!

Hi and welcome to the Migraines & Headaches Community.

Feeling weird or light headed and the scraping feeling is all due to a migraine aura. An aura can occur before, during, or after the migraine itself. It sounds like you have having typical migraines and unfortunately there is no fast fix all for migraines. Treating migraines is a marathon not a sprint. It will likely take a combo of preventative medications as well as one or more abortive medication. I suggest you see your doctor.
