Can I stop taking Topiramate?

I have been taking 50 mg for a year. And now I’m taking 25mg for a year. I want to stop completely. I hate all the side effects. It was prescribed for cluster aura headaches.

This is an excellent discussion to have with your doctor.  A trial period without the medication may give you insight as to whether or not you can manage without it.  This is not for seizures but migraines, correct?  ****  Please note you can not suddenly stop this medication for some patients and you should speak to your doctor first is this is your plan.  Perhaps a new treatment plan can be brought forward to help you but the discussion starts with your doctor.  Here is some information on this medication: https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-14494-6019/topamax-oral/topiramate-oral/details
