Neurology

Hello
For quite a number of months now I have been having quite bad surges of pressure to the head, sometimes even while I have been sat watching tv or reading, relaxing, and sometimes after gardening, housework.  I am 65 and am really fed up of this feeling which is ruining my lifestyle. Can anyone help? Cardiologist at hospital advises I have an extra heartbeat but he says there is no connection. It's happening now as I type this!

Thanks Sara. Have appointment on Monday morning with GP. Will have to see how long it takes for the referral to Neurology, if I manage to get one that is.

I think that you should ask a regular doctor (General Practice or Internal Medicine) or a neurologist to help you.  The cardiologist only could rule out the cause being due to your heart.
