I have strange pressure in my head what can cause this?

For about a year now I will get a strange pressure feeling that starts at the base of my skull and feels like it moves through my brain to the center then it will feel like my whole head is under 12 feet of water.( best way I can think of describing the pressure). Then the pressure feels like its pushing on the back of my eyes and I will get a quick surge of pain that feels like it shoots from my brain to my eye and it will blur out and come back to normal but the pressure stay constant no real pain until the surge but it's been so bad that I've had to pull over and wait cause I could not focus or see clear enough to even see the steering wheel. Not sure what it could be I feel healthy otherwise. If any one could help me shed some light on the cause it would be more than appreciated.

I'm sorry you've been dealing with this for so long. Have you seen a doctor? If not, you really should.

This could be caused by a lot of different things - it could be a migraine, low blood sugar, low or high blood pressure, or many other things. It's impossible to know without some testing and maybe some imaging.

If it's bad enough for you to have to pull over - meaning it is interrupting your daily activities - then it is time to see a doctor.
