Migraine Postdrome?

Hello everyone. I've suffered with complex migraines for years.  This past week I experienced the worst one ever. None of my pills helped. I eventually had to go to the hospital and got a shot of Toradol, which finally made the pain subside. That was last week. Ever since then, I've been kind of like a zombie in slow motion. I just feel out of it and kind of just stare off into space.  Sometimes, I feel like I'm not expressing myself properly or can't think of the words I want to say. This happened once before after a migraine but not for this long. I'm pretty much useless at work. If I hadn't had a CT scan at the hospital last week (and NUMEROUS ct scans and MRI's last year), I would be worried something was wrong inside my brain. Could this really all be from the migraine? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

I have had this too.  It can be very disabling.  Hard because I never know how long it will last.  Lots of problems with my speech, thinking, and fatigue/weakness.

Hi,

Yes this happens to me for days. I basically just lay in bed... I'm kind of useless- forget going to work! I'm and useless even around the house after (and sometimes before) a migraine. I can't articulate. Have a very hard time remembering the words that I want to say.

Thanks so much for your response. My neurologist has had me on all kinds of different meds. Unfortunately, the only thing that had been working for me was painkillers once I get the migraine.  Fioricet.  But this last migraine, even that didn't work.  I hate them. I hate them. I hate them. And even more so, afterwards.  Take care!
