i just looked on drugs.com on their interactions checker and between the two there were no interactions found, However, there are interactions with other medications. You should look at that site, it gives a lot of good information about all kinds of medication, like your second medication Norvasc shouldn't be taken with grapefruit. Hope that helps.
Hi,
How are you? Both Amlodopine (Norvasc) and verapamil belong to the same group- the calcium channel blockers (CCB) which are usually indicated for hypertension and migraine prevention. Amlodipine have very little effect on heart rate and contraction while Verapamil have the greatest effects on the heart and reduce the strength and rate of contraction. Since they have different actions, it is best that you discuss this first with your attending physician for proper management. Take care and best regards.
definitely better check it out with your doctor, I assume you are combating High blood pressure and you sure don;t want to deal with low blood pressure, it is just as dangerous and can be induced by taking too many medications. I tried Verapamil, didn't work for me for the migraine's was an ok blood pressure medicine when used in conjunction with lisinopril. I think it reduces your blood pressure by expanding your blood vessels, or making them more elastic or something like that, anyway it works a little different than many other blood pressure meds.
good luck, but please let your doctor know you take another blood pressure med.
