Sounds like a migraine to me. Another possibility is that you have TMJ on your right side, and that's what is creating the pain. I would see your doc and get an MRI/CT scan first, and talk about whether or not it's migraine. If it's decided that it's NOT migraine, then maybe you should make an appointment with your dentist to talk about it possibly being TMJ.
Good luck and keep us posted,

Hi,
How are you? One-sided throbbing headaches are commonly associated with migraine headaches. Nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light and sounds are also observed. rest, ice packs and pain relievers may help provide relief. However, if it persists, have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Your medical history, complete neurological examination and diagnostics such as Ct scan and blood tests may be done to help determine the underlying cause. Take care and do keep us posted.
Hi Jamie_Love,
Ok, stay calm, don't panic. I have been experiencing very strange painful headaches as well - on and off for months! I too was convinced I had a brain tumor, aneurism, etc. I don't.
Make an appointment with a Neurologist and get an MRI done. I am not a Dr., but it sounds like you may have migraine - which is what I was just diagnosed with yesterday.
My stress level was making the headaches worse. I was literally making myself sick. And much like you, I was having the strangest pains and could not figure it out and felt like my head might explode at any moment. The pain once ran all the way down the side of my head - face - neck - arm. Sometimes it's on the left, sometimes on the top of my head and it feels really swollen, sensitive, and throbs. The pain often spreads and moves around too, or it can be shooting and stabbing. It's awful!
Go see a neuro so you can rule serious things out. You will feel so much better once you do. I was "self-diagnosing" myself for days on the web and it totally freaked me out! And again, caused the head pains to get worse.
I hope this helps you.....good luck, keep me posted.
