Severe Sudden Headaches Recurring in Same Position

Hi,

For the last year or so, I have had a series of headaches with sudden onset. The pain is extremely severe, and usually lasts for around 5 to 10 minutes. Once one occurs there is usually 10 to 15 incidents spaced out over the next few hours. The pain itself is like all the intensity of my absolute worst migraine condensed and concentrated into two spots. The feeling of intense pressure in those spots often concerns me. One is the front Right half about 2 inches above my eye and slightly towards the outer side. The other is about two inches about behind my left ear. When it happens, they both begin a blinding pain simultaneously.

I have a history of migraines, however this is completely unlike any I have experienced before. I have tried to talk to my doctor about it, but they have generally been dismissed as migraines or tension. Occasionally the pain is so intense that for several minutes after it clears I am unable to process anything or speak coherently. Any ideas what this could be?

Hi. I've been having dull migraine headaches for the past 4 months ever since I had a lumbar puncture procedure. My migraines occur throughout the day and usually lasts 10mins at a time and about 15-20 times a day. The headaches have robbed me of my life and my doctors don't seem to have a solution for the headaches. I was never a headache person before the lumbar puncture procedure and am now suffering so much. It as affected my work and life at home. Sorry to hear you're going through the same thing.

Hi. :) I'm sorry this is happening to you and that your doctor was dismissive. Could you make another appointment and stress to them how concerned you are about this and that you think you might need further evaluation or at least some kind of treatment plan? If your current doctor won't help you, could you find another? I hope you'll be feeling well soon.
