Throbbing pain in my temples

All day I have had throbbing pain in my temples.  It started when I woke up this morning with the left temple throbbing.  The pain would drift in and out throughtout the afternoon.  The way I describe the throbbing is similar to a toothache except that its on my temples.  I recently just got over a bad upper respiratory infection so I figured that maybe my temple was hurting from my sinuses being aggrevated with mucus, dryness, etc.  In the evening,  my right temple began to throb and it is doing so as I type this.  I took 400mg of Ibuprofin yet I feel no relief.  My back is in pain and so is my neck---Ive been doing some cleaning for the holidays and picked up some heavy boxes in storage when I was looking for decorations.  I also havent slept well in a few days.  Is what Im feeling related to tension?  Or is it something else?

*When my temples are throbbing I feel slight pain behind my eyes.
