does a migraine cause numbness in mouth & your heart to speed up.

I am 36 years old & have experienced a migraine 3 times in my life. The first one I had was right after my 2nd child was born and I was terrified. I had never been thru so much pain far worse than labor. The last one I had I started having pains in my chest and my heart was racing. I was so scared because I had never had this happen before. I went to the ER and they ran all kinds of test. All coming back negative. A few days ago my mouth started going numb and again my heart started racing I just kept moving around trying to take my mind off of it. finally it slowed down and I just had a real sore head. I am scared that something else is going on and had even thought maybe I was having panic attacks during my migraine. My mother died 2 yrs ago of an unknown heart disease at the age of 64. Has anyone else ever experienced the pain and fast heart beat in your chest during a migraine? Ive also been having sharp pain in my left temple. Thanks for any advice.

The temple pain sounds like migraine although i think you need to see your doctor about the facial numbness.... The two together could be a few things but the facial numbness can be anxiety related as can the chest pain and feeling your heart racing....if you get migraine and it panics you causing other symptoms the chest pain may bring back the fear of what your mother went through...thus a panic attack but your doctor needs to be told just to rule out anything else you could take anti-anxiety meds and migraine meds for severe migraines..... best wishes and i feel for you ....hope you feel better soon
