I read your profile so now I know why you had the crainitomy.  The location and length of the cut as well as the closure used would still be useful to know.

Could you elaborate why you had a crainotomy?  Was it due to a rupture or aneurysm?  Do you know what type of closure was used such as titanium hinges and screws or was it sutured with stainless steel wire?  The location of the crainotomy would be helpful to know as well because each area has different implications.

Also have you been seen by a Neurologist?  There are many migraine medications that can help you.  Topamax is used more then gabapentum in migraine pain.  If you can answer the above questions, I will do my best to help you solve this as best I can.
