for my daughter

My daughter is 5 years old and was seen by a Neurologist that told us she suffered from migraine headaches.  we have not been able to come up with anything that causes her headaches.  We have tried keeping a diary and everything seems so random.  Some of the headaches she gets will put her to bed for the night.  Is there anything besides just letting her sleep it off i can do for her?

Since she is so young and there are illnesses simulating 'migraine' I will advise you  to give the benefit of doubt and visit an Eye specialist, and an ENT too.

Just to rule out other causes of headache.

Hi,

Sleep is the best treatment for migraine. Apart from that you can make sure your child’s routine is not overloaded. It is important that she eats and sleeps on time and drinks plenty of water during the day.
If the migraines are uncontrolled by non pharmacological means she may have to take medications like Tylenol or Motrin at the first sign of impending attack.

Hope this helps!
