Cramp feelings in right ear and right side of head?

I keep getting feelings like cramp in my right ear and in my head around that area above and sometimes below my ear.  I have tried migraleave and ibruprofen, but it isnt working.  I spoke to my doctor and she put it down to a muscle in my neck, but i not so sure.  I am just a little scared at the moment and wanted to know if anybody else gets these feelings.

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
Please relax this does not seem to be a neurological problem.
Crampy feeling could be due to tension headaches or stress which can cause the scalp muscles to contract. Gentle massage of the affected part of head and neck and ice packs should help.
Take care!
