Mirena Side Effects

I had the IUD inserted right at 4 months ago. In that time my periods have been unpredictable, but no where near as heavy as they used to be which I love. I also like that I dont have to remember the pill every day. Those are about the only pros that I have found so far. Cons include the following, although I cant prove 100% they are due to the IUD, I didnt have these issues before : Severe cramping in  my legs, thighs & calves, weight gain of 10lbs so far, unable to lose ANY weight no matter what I do, 2 fainting spells, spotting throughout the month, bloated stomach constantly. Does anyone else experience any of these?

I had Mirena inserted for about 2 years. During that time I had tons of mood swings, lack of energy and problems with my skin. I was an emotional wreck and gained 20 lbs with no changes to my diet. It caused issues in my marriage with my moodiness. I finally had it removed and I've been about a year Mirena free. I have lost 15 within the past few months without even trying. It takes a while for the added hormones to leave your body. The weight I added it mostly gone. I ended up going back to the size I wore prior to the IUD. I am no longer depressed and my mood swings are gone. I feel normal again. My doctor had recommended Mirena over tubal ligation which is what I was interested in having done back then. She went on about all of the positive but didn't mention any of the side effects it causes. It wasn't until after it was implanted that I started researching after seeing side effects. That was my fault. Anyway I would advise you to have it removed. It's not worth the headaches that come with it.
